On Sunday, Jul 21, 2024 in Kalibaru-Cilincing, North Jakarta, Lions Club Jakarta Centennial Monas Hang Tuah as part of the 15 Clubs in District 307 A1, held a service activity from 08.30am-11am to distribute goody bags consist of milk, biscuits, and other snack/food for around 300 children as part of the commemoration of National Children Day 2024. The event were attended by 3 of our members: President Houtman, Immediate Past President Widi and PDG Evi Pohan, and as club’s representative that donate Rp. 2.250.000 (15 packages) in that event.
It’s really a memorable story when you holding hand in hand together with other Lions that love to serve others. The activity continue on Tuesday, Jul 30, 2024, as we delivered some program such as reading, writing and arithmetic to the children in a fun way from 2.15pm-4.20pm. Located in Rumah Hebat Anak Indonesia (RHAI), Gang H. Baping No. 83 RT/RW 002/004, Lebak Bulus, Kecamatan Cilandak, Jakarta Selatan 12440, LCJC Monas Hang Tuah (President Houtman, Lion Herman, Lion Trizki) along with LCJ Wardaya 70 (Lion Riska) and Leo Club Jakarta Humanita (President Gilbert and Leo Bianca), held a kind of health talk during the event for free, serving around 32 children from scavenger families.
We enrolled dr. Maya, a pediatric specialist of Hermina Hospital, to be the speaker in that health talk discussing child growth and development in the digital era. We also distributed essential supplies, including stationery, drawing tools, medicines, food, and educational books. This initiative reflects our dedication to supporting the health, education, and well-being of the next generation.
